Pocahontas Parkway Donates to Support Virginia Organizations

RICHMOND, VA — December 20, 2024 — In an end-of-year celebration, Pocahontas Parkway announced it has donated to several Virginia-based organizations, reaffirming its commitment to community support. DRIVE SMART Virginia (DSV), Feed More, and Liberation Veteran Services (LVS) will each receive donations from Pocahontas Parkway to further support veterans, promote safe driving, and enhance well-being across Virginia.

DRIVE SMART Virginia is dedicated to enhancing the lives of all Virginians by raising awareness and promoting behavior changes that improve roadway safety across the Commonwealth. Founded on the belief that traffic fatalities and injuries are preventable, DSV promotes traffic safety through education and outreach programs.

Feed More collects, prepares, and distributes food to bring hunger relief throughout Central Virginia. For five decades, Feed More has been passionate about providing hope and nourishment to neighbors facing hunger. Feed More distributes food through more than 250 nonprofit partners to 29 counties and five cities throughout the Commonwealth.

Liberation Veteran Services offers homeless Veterans throughout the greater Richmond region the care, resources, and stability needed to rebuild their lives. LVS has an 86% success rate in permanent housing after providing veterans with the boost they need to connect with the necessary tools to get them back on track.

It is important to us that our contribution truly supports ongoing efforts and helps further each organization’s mission.”
