New toll rates scheduled for April 1, temporarily postponed

To support our customers during the evolving Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, Pocahontas Parkway is postponing a scheduled toll rate increase, which was scheduled for April 1st, 2020. Tolls will remain at the following current rates for the foreseeable future:

Tolls for two-axle vehicles on Pocahontas Parkway were scheduled to increase by 20 cents at the Main Toll Plaza and 10 cents at the Laburnum/New Market and Airport Drive ramp toll points, beginning on April 1, 2020 and will become effective once the current situation improves.

Tolls are payable with E-ZPass® or with Visa, Discover, American Express, or Mastercard credit and debit cards. Cash is accepted in all full-service lanes at the Main Plaza and both Laburnum and Airport exits and entrances.

What do I do if I have a problem with my payment?
If you miss a toll or cannot pay at the time of your travel, please wait at least 48 hours and then you can use the “miss a toll” tool on our website at pocahontas895.com. You can also call our office at (804) 822-3458 (or toll free at 1-866-428-6339). Please be aware that our office is not a call center, so if you’re prompted, please leave your name and phone number on the voicemail, and we will call you back as soon as possible, usually by the next business day. You can also email us at info@pocahontas895.com. Please have your vehicle license plate number and the state of issue with you when you call or include the plate number in your email. We are happy to assist you.

How is Pocahontas Parkway funded?
Pocahontas Parkway receives no state or federal financial support and is solely dependent on toll revenues for all operational, maintenance, safety, and financing costs.

How are the toll fees collected on Pocahontas Parkway used?
Fees are dedicated to both maintenance and operation of the road, including snow removal and motorist assistance in case of a traffic accident. Tolls are also used to fund future repaving projects so we can always ensure a safe and smooth trip on Pocahontas Parkway.

Have there been any improvements to the road or the services that Pocahontas Parkway provides?
Over the past years, Pocahontas Parkway carried out a complete renovation of the pavement on main travel lanes as well as the Airport Connector. Pocahontas Parkway has also invested in new technology to provide secure, accountable alternatives for customers to easily pay at both the manual toll lanes and at the ramps. These recently implemented improvements allow customers to easily use either cash and credit cards to pay tolls wherever they enter Pocahontas Parkway.

In addition, Pocahontas Parkway performs proactive routine maintenance on Vietnam Veterans Bridge over I-95 as well as overpasses and bridges associated with Pocahontas Parkway.

Pocahontas Parkway also provides winter maintenance and prompt snow removal services to ensure a safe travel during winter months.

What advantages does Pocahontas Parkway offer commuters in the Richmond area?
Pocahontas Parkway provides the fastest, most reliable connection between the southwest and western portions of Greater Richmond to the eastern portions of the region.
