Pocahontas 895, Transurban sponsor James River Association fundraiser
Pocahontas 895 and Transurban were among a half-dozen major sponsors of the James River Association’s signature fundraising event, held June 7 at Westover Plantation.
Pocahontas 895 and Transurban supported the 18th annual Westover Lawn Party by sponsoring the seafood tent, one of four large sheltered areas on the plantation site. Inside, Lawn Party attendees enjoyed displays of sturgeon from the James River, as well as other exhibits and information about river life and JRA’s conservation work.
“We are delighted to support James River Association with this sponsorship,” said Andi Kuhn, Pocahontas 895’s director. “Transurban is committed to sustainability, the environment and community involvement, and we’re proud to help James River Association protect, preserve and improve the quality of Virginia’s largest river.”
The Lawn Party, JRA’s largest fundraiser, included family and educational activities, live entertainment and music, silent and live auctions, and refreshments, including a seafood bar.
