About Transurban
Transurban manages and maintains Pocahontas 895 on behalf of VDOT. Transurban is a $US 6 billion company with more than 10 years of experience in the development and management of complex toll road infrastructure.
Transurban has interests in seven major toll road assets in the United States and Australia and is pursuing a number of new opportunities in these key markets. There are three Transurban offices in the United States - in New York City, Richmond and Alexandria, Va.
Transurban is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange, where it is ranked within the Top 50 companies.
For the past two years in a row Transurban has made the Dow Jones Sustainability Index World list of high-performing companies. DJSI World tracks the performance of the top 250 global sustainability leaders, rating them on economic, environmental and social criteria.
Pocahontas 895 is Transurban's first partnership in the United States. The Company is now working closely with the Virginia Department of Transportation on the development of a 70-mile network of High Occupancy Toll (HOT) lanes in Northern Virginia.
